I really enjoyed ready some of your posts. Love your sense of humour. Your In My Garden blocks are just lovely and I hope you do decide to take on one of those beautiful hand pieced projects. Don't let size of the project dampen your enthusiasm. I am still piecing my first hand pieced project. My Violet quilt is my first hand pieced quilt and it will be 93" square by the time the last two borders are attached. I started it 9 years ago. Call me absolutely mental, but I thought it would be fun to hand quilt it too!! It's ok to laugh at that suggestion. You won't be the first. My philosophy is 'it's the process not the product'. As long as you enjoy it, doesn't matter how long it takes. Hope you join in tonight, it's Friday Night Sew In. wish2stitchhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01777243114454408358noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1746373795597515652.post-42147579491976122802014-09-01T22:59:34.610+01:002014-09-01T22:59:34.610+01:00Beautiful blog Josie always a delight to read. As do your garden blocks (and the blue chair in the background). No comment on your sleeping styles! A good start on your hand piecing. Pressing hand pieced blocks can be a pain. I try to press towards the darker fabric, or press seams the same way so the intersections are flatter (does that make sense?).Susanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09718801532958257392noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1746373795597515652.post-9321415528064190842014-08-18T11:15:47.361+01:002014-08-18T11:15:47.361+01:00Love your post. Stool looks great, I have a large one granny made, she passed away in 1956 and it desperately needs recovering as it is worn away in places, you have given me ideas. Not pieced blocks by hand only on the machine so sorry no advice to give. I too spent 3 days at the show but had the camera and took over 700 photos, still did not see everything but managed to part with quite a bit of cash!
