If brains were dynamite....

I certainly don't have enough to blow my hat off!!

Last time I was here I showed you the lovely presents I received from Sonia in Chookyblues Christmas Swap.    Yep... I patted myself on the back for that but now I have to beat myself up because I forgot to show you the gifts I sent to Wendy at Sugarlanequilts!!

Honestly.... one thought and my brain is overloaded!

Before I forget again.........

here's what I sent to Wendy.

I fretted for ages over what to stitch then finally plumped for Leanne's House Stitcher's Keeper.   I'm so glad I did.  It was a lovely project to make and best of all.... Wendy loves it.   Phew.... now I know the real meaning of relief!!

If you'd like a better look pop over to Wendy's.   She has better photographs plus you can see the gorgeous gifts she sent her SSCS partner.

Now......there was something else I forgot to mention in my last post.   A problem with my Christmas Angels Swap gifts!

The package still hasn't arrived at it's destination!    I posted it on 26th November a whole 14 days before the last guaranteed Airmail delivery date to the USA from Scotland.   What I want to know is...... where is it?      Heck the time it's taking it would have been quicker to row the Atlantic and  hand deliver  it.

I've received my gifts from Wendy......(Wendy #2)

here they are waiting to be opened.    I'm not going to open them until Wendy can open hers.   I'm hoping that's really soon.  Keep your fingers crossed for us.   If the gifts don't turn up in the next few days I'm going to start on another batch.

Well..... it's Saturday night and I'm snuggled in front of the wood stove with the TV remote all to myself.  A nice glass of Chilean white  wine, a plate of Hovis digestive biscuits and a slab of delicious Dolcelatte cheese.   I really wouldn't thank George Clooney for phoning now!   Before this day is done I intend to  resemble one very tipsy,  contented and  rotund  rodent!   Wish me luck!

Hope you enjoy your evening half as much.....

See ya soon
if you can't be good....be careful!

Hugs
Josie

Your stitchery folder is beautiful Josie, A shame about the post not being delivered, we are having the same problems here. I ordered a christmas gift from USA for my son back in November and we are still waiting. I think its on a very slow boat.
Hope you enjoyed your wine and cheese.
Stay warm.

The stitchery pocket you made is beautiful - really is. How frustrating for you - so upsetting when you've posted goodies off in good faith. I hope they turn up soon.

your stitched pocket looks gorgeous! I hope your parcel turns up asap. It's so hard to just sit back, have to have faith in the postal service...
Have a happy new year!

I too am waiting for a parcel to arrive in Sweden posted in plenty of time. Hers to me was posted days after mine and arrived within a couple of days so where is mine. Perhaps it is having a little party with yours. Hope the digestive system is bearing up.

Gorgeous stitching and your swap partner is a very lucky lady.

What a gorgeous stitchery you made! And hopefully your package for the other Wendy is just taking its time. I've got a late package from here in the U.S., and I find myself hoping it wasn't lost in a highway accident, like that giant one they had in Texas with some 28 vehicles involved. :/

No wonder Wendy is gleeful with her new Stitcher's Keeper - it's gorgeous, you very clever stitcher!!
I'm sorry to read about your parcel not getting to it's destination, perhaps it's just stuck in a back-log of mail and hopefully it will get there very soon...
I'm having great visions of you rowing the Atlantic, full of your wine & cheese... a bit Owl & Pussycat, with a hangover, LOL. x

I've had my eye on that stitchery folder for a while now - you have done a *fabulous* job of making this one for Wendy!! It truly is a gorgeous pattern!! ... So sorry to hear about the gifts you sent Wendy #2!! I've had things go missing in swaps before, and it's not nice to know that you've made something for someone, and then be wondering if either it has gotten to its destination ... or *when* it will do so!! Hoping it arrives on her end swiftly!!! Wishing you a Happy New Year!! Hugs!

LOL - I'm thinking the hangover should be hurting right about now! Hope you didn't overdo it and that the morning after isn't too bad....
The keeper you made Wendy is gorgeous, you can't go wrong with a LH design! The runner you received from Sonia is amazing, so pretty - I wonder where it has ended up resting.....?
